Many of the Maple friends have been asking to play on the hillside this week, so that's where we spent most of our morning. We were thrilled to create in the mud kitchen, visit with "Snaily," climb the tree, collect rocks, hunt for critters, build with connectors, and play with our friends from the Sycamore Room.
Back inside, we read a story that our friend Josie brought from home to share with the class:
There's a Bear on my Chair by Ross Collins.
"Bear and chair are rhyming words!" ... "Pear and chair are rhyming words too!"
"Look! It's a pizza arrow!"
"I think the bear wants someone to play with him."
Thank you for sharing your book with us, Josie!
Before going to lunch, we all worked together to put our cots down for rest time.
Then we had a dance party to celebrate our hard work!
"The floor is lava!"
It's been a fabulous day in the Maple room.
"Everyone say Maple family!"
