A Change in Plans

Caper Day took the place of Forest Day due to rain and school being closed this Friday. Friends continued  to interact with standard and nonstandard measurements. Scales, rulers and towers were all used.

Feel free to peek in on other blogs to capture Maple Friends enjoying their choices.

G.T. followed a long process to use all the rulers and gems. The determination on his face was evident as he chose just the right stones to be placed. He was very proud and insisted he be on today’s blog!

Does looking through these make you look closer, farther, bigger or smaller?

How are you feeling today?

M.B. worked diligently to build her tower to hold two people.
She laughed so hard when she blew them off the top.

Older friends love helping younger ones learn!

How tall can you be? Your hands are soooo long!

“Is this a weighing machine?"

Our friends love Caper Day! Maple friends enjoy traveling to other rooms to explore many invitations. Capers Day blogs are going to begin to look different. We will focus on sharing the work that was happening in Maple Room and will provide the links for you to check out what was happening in the other rooms as well. This means you may not see your child on our blog on these days.

Maple friends have been showing a lot of interest in measurement so we invited friends to explore weight using a scale and loose materials!

“Is this a weighing machine?"

"It’s up to 1 I need to get it to 10."

"They’re all falling off. Let’s take them all off and put the basket on!”

“It’s a pizza cooker, we just have to wait for the timer to go off.”
