This morning at Small Capers, some friends did some more investigating of a pumpkin.
How do pumpkins grow?
"They need sun and water and mud."
"Actually, they need soil because it's only mud once it gets wet."
We planted the seeds in soil, sand, and inside the pumpkin.
Which one will grow the fastest?
Will the seeds in the sand grow?
"They need lots of water!"
We got a surprise package in the mail before lunch!
What do you think it is?
"Cotton candy."
"A robot."
"Babies."
"Sno cones."
After lunch we opened it to find out!
"A box!"
Is it a fish? Is it a tadpole? Will it be a frog?
"A tadpole is a fish that becomes a frog."
"How long until they grow legs?!"
"I picked them some berries! They are alive so we need to take care of them and be kind to them."
We are so excited to continue explore and watching our new little friends grow!
