Friday afternoon we made a large poster to hang outside our classroom to welcome our new friend, G.
N. took it a step further:)
Friends sat with him as he requested painting as morning work. We have the most caring kids!
There was a surprise waiting for us this morning. The flag was raised on our mailbox.
J's grandmother and brother had left us mail in a very pretty envelope.
Who knew it would give us a clue as to what would be inside?
Counting together we found 26 heart. That's A LOT of love!
There's a rumor that this grandma has a lot of siblings in other states. We may be hearing from them😉
So, being Monday, we needed to show our friend the wonders of the Forest.
A quick pit stop at another school to deliver mail had us discovering a new tree to climb.
"We need more tape!"

N. and G, found leaves as big as their heads!!
Finally we were on our way.
E-There's our school. We looped around.
Sensory options were textured walls and an abundance of leaves to collect, scoop and toss into the air.

N. and G, found leaves as big as their heads!!
And no day would be complete without a little jumping:)
We wanted to show G. our love of tree climbing.
When N. and E. climbed to the highest branch, G. said, "We need to save her!"
Assured that they were quite confident up high and that all of his friends enjoyed climbing,
he tried one himself.

We had one more job. We needed to make some maps and hide treasures for Sycamore!
What a wonderful adventure we had today!
Our class if FULL of JOY with our school family finally complete with eight (ocho)!
