Monday’s Mail and Mittens

 More Mail!!!!

We are so grateful to be back and to have found three letters for Maple.

Can you believe that A.’s  GoGo sent us a book called Postman Pig?

His Aunt Tey Tey sent us a letter with pictures of a forest and waterfall in Oregon!

And wow, E.’s MiMi told us about her important job of being a Supreme Court Judge!

Right before we left on vacation, we even heard how to fix a train.

We are truly going to work hard this month to respond to ALL the mail we’ve received.

Thank you for your patience as we learn to write letters and words:)

The morning was pretty cold, but with cuddly coats, hats and

mittens (or gloves as the kids corrected us) we managed to have a bunch of fun in the Forest.

We Are Thankful!

Kids say the sweetest things!

We began the morning sharing things for which we were thankful.

So many revolved around our families, friends and school. It makes us happy to know that we are working together to bring up such thoughtful and caring people. Enjoy the quotes.

"I  am thankful that we have  everything we need."

"I am thankful for my school and my friends that are nice to me."

"I am thankful for donuts."

"I am thankful for the nice, kind teachers at Ambrose."

"I am thankful that none of us got Covid and that we get to be together."

"I am thankful for getting to spend the day with you, Ms. G.  and that we and my entire family is healthy."

"I am thankful for friends and Mommy and Daddy."

"I am thankful for knowing T.C., sharing the days with you and Ms. A. at school and that my family {pets included} is well."

"I am thankful for being with my family, my best brother and best teachers. Oh, and for watching Jingle, Jingle."

"I am thankful for my dad making Cocoa Puffs."

"I am thankful that my mom got me my new shoes and drops me off at PawPaw's house. And that my dad lets me play in my room and  plays in my room with me."

We rounded out the morning by making Friendship Mix. Normally the children would be adding an ingredient of their choosing, but for obvious reasons we made adaptations. Ms. A. donned her gloves and friends directed which items to add and called, "STOP!" when the desired amount was added.

That's enough Chex.

How about pretzels? No, more!

What are these? M&Ms! How many should we put in the mix? 4!
Is this enough for everyone to get one?

NO! Use the whole bag!!!!

Now the other one!!!

Give it a mix and add more ingredients. The entire bag of Candy Corn was essential.

A bit of healthier Cranberries were next. That's enough!

Well, a few more for good measure.

The final mix was finished.

Doesn't this look delicious????

Here's what the kids thought...

Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours!

Hot Chocolate at the Forest

We started our morning with some fun glow in the dark painting!
"Look at what happens when I tap the brush like this!"
"It's glowing!"
"Look at W's mask!"

We headed to the Forest but instead of going in, we stopped for a special treat at the top of the hill!
"I love hot chocolate!"
"The marshmallows are my favorite!"
"I'm blowing on mine to make sure it's not too hot!"

We enjoyed climbing new trees on the outside of the Forest and rolling over and over down the big hill!
"Ready, steady, GO!"
