Armed with our directions, off we went to find two new mailboxes. We arrived at the first destination. "Where is it?" you asked. "Hum, the Post Office must not have updated removing this location. We will have to scratch it off the map when we get back to school." Heads up...don't try to mail anything at the corner of Swon and Jefferson:)
The journey was about half way when E. found a great stick. "I'm definitely using this as a walking stick!"
Turning around, off we went to the next location of Swon and Elm. Eureka!
We did find at least one new mailbox. In went two letters to friends.
Others waited patiently.
Onward we walked up the big hill to City Hall to hand deliver a thank you note to Ms. Pat. She let us know how happy it made her! Being kind is one of our favorite things to be in Maple!
W. noticed, " Look, the fountain is on!" We took a short break there before heading back to school. Along Lockwood, W. made a connection to our morning play in the Small World. "There's the building from this morning!." It was Regions Bank. Maple is very invested in our community.
What luck! We were greeted with this beauty waiting for us at the gate!
His name is Hopper. “Like on a train,” from O.
