We Are the Universe Cleaners!

The title of our blog today was a quote from L.R.B.  This was after a decision was made at our meeting that we should clean up our playscape as it had lots of materials out of place. Singing a little song,”We leave it better than we found it,” we were off on our mission.

Rocks were returned to the river.

Our donated carpet tubes had seen their final days. They had been well loved for funnels and rollers. However, after the rain, pieces of cardboard were everywhere!  It took a lot of friends and some big muscles but the playscape looked very tidy.

There was so much being picked up so the next thing to do was get a trash bin.
Here’s where team work was required!

Now we have a place to keep ALL this!

How are we going to get rid of these papers?
Better take it up to the trash!
“It’s sooooo heavy!”

A.K. was a great helper.

Let the transferring begin…

Around the corner, there was a final mishap to repair. The birdbath had been knocked over and misplaced!
G.B.-“It’s not stable. We need to stabilize it!”

You Get a Stick and You Get a Stick…

Fall in the the Forest not only offers a blanket of leaves but lots of sticks. Friends were asked how long theirs’ was and we received some pretty cute answers.

G.B.-“It’s like 90 feet tall!”

S.Z.-“Like 70/10.”

A.K.-“I think it’s real long.”

R.L. showed that her stick was long enough to touch a tree beach high above her head.

“Mine is like this big,”

A..S.-“I got this glow stick and it’s short.”

W.A. found a shaky tree. He was hoping to get some branches to fall. E.M. joined him and thought it quite funny when a small piece fell on his head!

G.B. made stick stew.

W.J. showed up in time to do a bit of exploring. He told us, “I was running late!”

And then there was this wild bunch of dinosaurs!
