Collecting Shadows

There was a light and shadow provocation available for friends to explore during capers today!
There were a variety of materials for friends to use.

“This is so shiny!”
“I love these keys!”

“How do I get it on there?”
“Here is wire or these little things.”

“This is really cool!”

What do you notice about the wall?
“Hey, all the things hanging here are on the wall!”

“Where did you get these spoons from the kitchen?”
“What cd’s are these?”
“Listen to the sound the keys make!”

“This look super cool hanging there!”

Don't forget to check out what your children experienced in the other rooms!

Pumpkin Seeds

This morning a group of friends planted our pumpkin seeds.
"If we give them dirt and water and sunlight they will grow!"

"There's a lot of extra seeds!"
"Can we cook them?"

Pizza Bagels!

This morning a group of friends revisited our pizza sauce!
We reheated it.

 Spread out the bagels.

 Added sauce.

Sprinkled on the cheese...we really liked this part!

We kept an eye on the oven as we cleaned up.

Obviously the best way to clean up the fallen cheese is to eat it;)
We took our pizza bagels back to the Maple Room to share with our new friends. They all approved!

Climbing to New Heights

During our trip to the Forest this morning, I watched as a few friends climbed on the uprooted tree, impressed with how high up they truly were. They began to inch their way up the tree. As they walked further up the tree, they grew taller and taller! E exclaimed, "Look how high we are!" Soon after, E took a tumble. He stopped and looked around, then climbed right back up exclaiming, "I'm okay!" Once he got back up, he continued higher up the tree; Z and S followed right behind him. As they got higher, I stood close by becoming slightly nervous but giving them room to be risk takers. There was true perseverance happening in the Forest today!
