Sculpture Park Walk

Today a group walked to the sculpture park. We met someone on the way. "She was pulling weeds because that helps the tree grow," said Max. We told her that we pull weeds at school! She told us that people were mulching at the sculpture park and we told her we know how to mulch, too!

We saw them use a huge tube to spread the mulch. We need that!! Libby said, "It's like it's watering the bushes."

Them we saw egg sculptures! We might make our own out of clay this week!

The mosaic bird was really popular.

Some pretended this sculpture was a rocket ship! We also discovered it's made out of steel and it's magnetic!!

The children looked closely at the tiles and noticed many differences.

We are excited to revisit the sculpture park soon!!

Mulching

Today we continued to mulch the playscape. Charlotte told the class that she and her dad are going to mulch at home but she couldn't remember the 3rd must of mulching. (Last week we watched a video before starting to mulch that told us 3 musts of mulching). We watched the video again to refresh our memory then got to work! Ask your child about the 3 musts of mulching!

Painting the Planter!

With the awesome help of Eleanor's mom and Ava's mom, the children produced beautiful works of art on our planter. They talked about their plan first, put on big t-shirts, then got to work!
