Drawing the Details

This morning friends continued exploring animals through the language of drawing.

“He’s got stripes on his belly and big toenails.”

“I have a tiger blanket with stripes at home too!”

C.B. noticed that the Zoo animals book that we were using didn’t have penguins, “I want to draw a penguin, can I go find one in another book?” She found a few books with penguins and after settling on the perfect penguin picture she exclaimed, “Wait! Penguins lay eggs?! Look it has an egg. I didn’t know that!”
