Animal Investigation

Maple took a brisk walk around the block to look for animal prints, homes and food.

 

G.B. noticed what she thought were tiny animal footprints.

“What kind of animal might have made them?”

G.-“A hamster.”

C.D.-“Look, there’s a nest.”

 

“I think there are snakes in there!”

I.B. thought squirrels would enjoy this tasty acorn.

Friends were intrigued by this fossil that might have come from a snake!

“ There’s a leaf nest!”

“Here, a print!”

“What do you think made it?”

D.B.-“A Kangaroo!”

W.A.-“No, kangaroos live in the desert!”

“I think this might be a snake hole!”

A.K.- I think I see cocoons,” pointing to rolled up leaves in the distance.
