All The Sweet Little Moments

We had a very eventful morning but before sharing I would like to brag on your children a bit. Our hearts are filled with so much love and joy observing the way this group interacts so here are a few noticings we've had lately...

This morning E brought a train book to share with friends specifically because he knows how much O loves trains.

Yesterday a friend tripped and fell in the Forest. M came running from the other side of the Forest and joined the rest of the Maple friends in making sure everyone was okay.

J  told O when he got to school, "Hey dude, I've been waiting for you to get here!"

Every walk we go on G says, "Put that stick down. Remember when M poked himself with that stick? I want you to stay safe."

O asked W, "Want to go in the light room with me?"

When coming to the carpet for meeting, J often asks friends, "Want to sit by me?"

One day while walking, a friend said that at his old school the friends weren't always nice. Without skipping a beat, E replied, "Well you don't ever have to worry about that ever again because were are loving and kind in the Maple Room and you're our friend now."

Today I stood on the table to hang our nature ornaments and W was very concerned for my safety telling me repeatedly to be careful.

When we walked out to go to the hillside this morning, G asked W, "Can I hold your hand?" W replied, "Sure!"

While getting ready to go outside, N helped friends zip their coats. "I can help you!"

A friend wanted something that another friend had and A helped solve the problem. "Maybe you can have it when he's done. We could set a timer."

When a friend was looking a little sad, N went over and said, "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Everyday O asks when friends will be there and loves to greet friends at the door.

Every morning when Gayle gets to school, friends so lovingly greet her! J-"Ms. Gayley's here!"

And every afternoon when I leave friends say, "Have a good afternoon." "We will miss you! "We love you!"

Friends got to work right away creating a sign for the Post Office. "It needs to look just like the real one!" Let's look at the picture and copy it!"

There was a lot of building big and small...

In the light room, G noticed clear ornaments and took them out to show friends. Before we knew it we were inserting any piece of nature from our collection that would fit! "Let's hang them!" "Make it like stairs and make each one shorter!"

While helping to hang them, friends noticed something! "There's a TREASURE box in there!!"
"What's in it??"
"Maybe candy!"
"Maybe toys!"
You know Maple friends can't resist a good mystery so we made our predictions and had a big reveal.
"Let's all close our eyes!"
"Let's countdown!"
We were excited to find dress ups and babies.
"There's walkie talkies in there!"

Then more exciting mail...
 "We got a package!"
"There's no stamps."
"Look they scan it there!"
"Maybe packages don't get stamps."
E's grandparents shared cotton from their cotton farm with us and lots of pictures!
"Let's plant the seeds and grow our own cotton!" -E
"It feels soft like a dogs fur!" -A
"It looks like a snowman!" -O
"It feels like a sheep." -N
