Discovering new ways to melt ice!

Today, a small group went to the kitchen to test some new theories on melting ice using salt.

   "The salt is hot and that means it's going to melt the ice." - Nolan

    "It's popping! The salt is popping." - Nora

   "The salt is vibrating in the ice."

   "The salt is melting the ice." - Jake

    "If you break it, it will melt faster." - Nolan

    "The ice is kind of cracking. I think it's too much ice that's why not melting." - Avery

   "If we wait 100 minutes, then the ice will melt." -Avery 

About an hour later, we checked on the ice to find out that it had almost all melted!
