A Walk for Inspiration

What does inspire mean?

"It makes us like Wow!"

"Whatever makes you feel like wow, you can say Wow!"

What inspires you? 

"Flowers, like tulips."

"Mulch because it helps the flowers grow."

"Orange flowers."

"The sun."

"Pinecones."

"Plants."

"Trees."

"Leaves that grow on trees."

"Sculptures."

"New stuff like the seed pods with fur on the outside."

"Worms because they help the trees, flowers, and plants to grow."

"Ladybugs."

"Spiders - they make webs."

"Grass because it's soft and prickly."

"Sculptures of the forest."

This led us on an inspirational walk through the neighborhood. We were immediately wowed by a Robin taking care of her nest in front of our building.  As we continued our walk we were amazed by the smell of the purple flowers blooming on trees; the texture of the trees; the feel of the grass; the smell of the flowers; And, the softness of pine needles on the pine trees.

Party Under The Pergola

 It was a great morning to take our learning outdoors.  Maple friends were eager to continue the work on our box sculpture.  They were filled with lots of excitement to create nature sculptures with flowers and rocks. They found plenty of dandelions, wildflowers and rocks to use in a purposeful way to create the sculptures they wanted.  We love their creativity!

We couldn't have had ended our morning on a better note without celebrating these two friends, JB and VW who had birthdays over Spring break.  They both asked for a dance party and special snacks with their friends. It was such a joyous celebration with so much fun and laughter!
