Post Office Additions

This morning friends made a lot of mail. We noticed that the mail was piling up in the Post Office and there wasn't room for us to move! So we came up with some solutions...

"We can put this box on to collect mail."
"You have to put the name on it so we know who the mail is for."
"We need an open and closed sign so we know when we can go in!" -N

"Let's add this roof to the Post Office!" -O

We were so excited to get real mail again today!
We got some fresh air on a short walk around the block to deliver mail to the mailbox.

A New Neighbor on Our Block

The first house was painted today! The entire class pitched in to move J. on our street.

Who’s house will be next?

Naturally our “littles” took the highest peak to paint😂

All completed...

...and moved on the block!

While friends waited their turns, some great minds were at work!
Coloring upside down? How fun!

Book Making
Super writing and details are developing!

Of course we couldn’t resist the snow:)
W.-Let’s make Snow Angels!
G.-Here comes a snowball!
E.-We need a snow fire!

The morning ended with a big surprise from O.’s mom.
She made each of us our very own mailbox!
The kids have lots of ideas on how to attach them to our houses.
Thank you for our gift💕

Snowy Day

This morning we got to work on our first house!
"How will we decide who goes first?"
"Maybe we should go oldest to youngest?"
"Or youngest to oldest?"
I suggested drawing names from a basket and friends thought that was a fair idea.
Today J got started.
We cut the door and hurried inside.
"Come inside my house!" -J
"It's so cozy in here." -A
Next she drew on her windows and I used the box cutter to cut them out.
"Let's look at the plans."
We all loved the unique design!

"I need maybe like a triangle roof. We need to tape it!" -J
We got started but had to switch to glue when the tape was gone.
"We need pieces here to keep it standing up. Let's glue it!"

Of course we enjoyed the snow...
Eating it, snowballs, snow angles, and even a snowdog.
"If it's yellow, don't eat it!" -E
"Will our snow dog come to real life?"
