The Maple friends had a wonderful first day together! We were so happy to be back at school! We spent the morning exploring our new classroom, practicing good hand washing, playing outside, and learning new routines. I was amazed at how well this group of friends is already working together and caring for one another...and how well they kept their masks on!
When we got outside we talked about the new ropes that we see on the playscape. Today our spot was at the top right outside our classroom windows.
"Hey there's our classroom!"
I asked friends what we needed to add for the birds to this area.
Of course the old Maple friends picked up right where they left off, turning over every stump in a search for bugs!
"Birds eat worms!"
"I love worms and worms love me!"-E
"I bet there's some under here too! I'm really strong but it's stuck."-W
We also added a bird feeder with seed, just incase they don't find those worms.
"The birds will feel so cozy, they are going to love coming to eat this!'-J
We found the perfect place and can now do some bird watching at our windows too!
