In the last couple of weeks the children have been exploring with colors and color-mixing. This week they made green and pink gak. Here are some of their quotes:
We're making slime - Eli
It's slime- Melody
What is this? It's slimy - Nolan
It's cold and squishy - Savy, Daisy, Meloddy, Trinity
I put my heart on it - Ellie
It's almost there. Yes! It touched the floor. - Landon
Today we made a birthday poster for Ms. Robin, and sang to her during lunch! We are so appreciative of all she does for us and wanted to help to make her feel special on her birthday!
The last few days we've been exploring with sound. Today we put out glass jars with water in them at different levels. They discovered that the sounds changed depending on how much water were in the jars.
Yesterday a few friends created a game with some big blocks. They designed a "skateboard skater rink" with ramps and pretended to use surfboards and skateboards in their game. Today, they went back to the blocks and created the game again.
Some friends went to the kids kitchen to make pink Playdough to investigate more with color mixing. Once the dough was finished we took it back to class and began mixing the colored doughs together to create some interesting pieces.
Putting in the color.
Mixing it.
Mixing it on the stove.
Stirring the Playdough.
We mixed it in our hands.
"Look! I made a spider in a spiderweb with the pink dough."
This is a boy and a girl. The girl one has pink on it.
