Writing in the dirt.

Talking through tubes.

What a great day outdoors!

Planting Jellybeans

The children found Jellybeans outside. They wondered what would happen if they plant them.

"I think a jellybean bush will grow!"

Harvey found a stick to mark the spot so we remember where we planted them.
I wonder what will happen???

Special Guest!

Ms. T.C, came in to open our coconut. She brought in 2 coconuts so we had 3 to cut open!

The friends asked why Ms. T.C knows so much about coconuts. We found out that she is from an island!

"Do you have to get on a plane to get there?"-Will
Ms. T.C said she takes a plane and it takes her 2 days to get home! She also told us that it's Saturday where she lived!
Maggie said, "That's because the earth is spinning around. We are on the day side and Hawaii is on the night side."

Ready to open the coconut and test our theories about what's inside.

Ms. T.C showed us a tool to shave the coconut.

She had a huge knife to cut open the coconut! It was loud when she banged it!

Oh no! The coconut was rotten!

"It smells like rotten bananas."

The second one was rotten too!

And the third! Bummer!!

Ms.T.C took a group out to place the coconuts in the garden. Some friends think it will grow into a coconut tree! We will check our coconuts every day!

Celebrating Libby!

Libby turns 5 Sunday and asked the class to make her a purse.

The decided to make her a circle purse.

A small group asked Libby what color fabric she wanted.

After cutting out the pattern, they began to sew.

Libby wanted a cross-body purse. A group measured the length of the ribbon they needed.

Libby loved her purse!

Happy Birthday, Libby!

Constructing with Marshmallows

The past two days friends used marshmallows and toothpicks to construct beautiful creations!

Happy Birthday, Brynn!

Today we celebrated Brynn's 5th birthday! She wanted us to celebrate by dancing to Shake It Off and creating her a mermaid book. When Brynn went to the gym with a group, we got to work on making her book.

"This is my chicken mermaid."- Elise
